Broker / API Disclosure
Last updated: October 2026 · All legal pages
CandleAlgo connects to supported third-party brokers through the API each broker publishes for its customers. You create the API access in your own broker account and save the resulting keys or token in CandleAlgo. Orders are then placed under your own account and your own credentials.
- Verify with your broker. Orders, fills, positions and balances shown in CandleAlgo are read from the broker's API and may be delayed, partial or unavailable. The broker's own platform and contract notes are the official record.
- Outages and latency. Broker or API downtime, slow responses, rate limits, daily token expiry, IP allow-list changes and API version changes can delay or prevent orders, including exit orders.
- Rejections. A broker can reject an order for margin, segment activation, scrip bans, price bands or other reasons. CandleAlgo shows the broker's reason on the algo and in notifications but cannot override it.
- Balances. Balance and margin figures shown in CandleAlgo are the broker's reported values; they never override the broker's official records.
- Which brokers place real orders. Today: Dhan, Zerodha, Angel One, Groww, Kotak Neo, Alice Blue, Shoonya, 5paisa, Samco, Zebu, IIFL Capital, Indiabulls Securities, Wisdom Capital, Composite Edge. Other brokers on the Connect page show exactly why they are not available for real orders yet.
- No endorsement. Broker names and logos identify the service you connect to. No broker endorses or is affiliated with CandleAlgo unless that relationship is documented on the broker's page in CandleAlgo.
