How CandleAlgo Works

All documentation

  1. Tell CandleAlgo your trading idea in plain English in the AI Algo Builder.
  2. AI converts the idea into structured trading rules: chart to watch, timeframe, signal, instrument, sizing, stop-loss, target and exits.
  3. Review the generated rules carefully. The review card shows exactly what will run. AI interpretation can be wrong - if a line does not match your intent, change it before deploying.
  4. Choose instruments / segment: stocks, index or stock options, futures, or commodities, and the list of symbols to scan.
  5. Select Paper or Live deployment. Paper uses virtual money on live prices. Live sends real orders and needs your explicit confirmation.
  6. Connect a supported broker for Live trading on the Connect Broker page, with your own API access and (where the broker requires it) your dedicated trading IP.
  7. The engine watches the configured market conditions on every closed candle during market hours.
  8. When conditions match, the algo generates / executes the configured action - a signal in paper mode, an order in live mode - and then manages the stop-loss, target, time exit and square-off.
  9. Orders are sent through the connected broker API under your own account.
  10. Broker execution is the final source of truth for actual orders and positions. Verify important orders with your broker.
AI interpretation can be wrong. Always read the generated rules before deploying, test on paper first, and start live with a small amount.
