How CandleAlgo works

What is CandleAlgo?

A no-code algo builder for Indian markets (NSE and BSE). You chat with the AI assistant the way you would explain a strategy to a friend: "Watch Nifty on the 5-minute chart, when a green candle closes above the 20 EMA buy an ATM call, stop loss 20 points, target 40 points."

CandleAlgo reads every part of the message, shows you back exactly what it understood ("I understood:"), asks about anything that is missing or unclear, and saves the result as an algo that you can test and run.

How it works in 3 steps

   Write your strategy

   Describe it in plain English or Hindi in the AI Algo Builder. Example: "Watch Nifty chart and buy call at the nearest expiry, SL will be 1x and take profit will be 2x of candle size." The AI asks short questions for anything it needs (expiry, quantity, stop loss) and shows a read-back of the full rules before anything is created.

   Connect your broker

   Link your own broker account on the Connect page. Supported brokers include Dhan, Zerodha, Angel One, Groww, Kotak Neo, Alice Blue, Shoonya, 5paisa, SAMCO, Compositedge, IIFL Capital, Indiabulls Securities, Wisdom Capital, Zebu. You can skip this step and practise on paper money first.

   Run it - on paper or live

   Every new algo starts switched off and on paper money. Backtest it, run it on paper, and choose Live only when you are ready. You confirm before it trades real money, and you can stop it or exit positions at any time.

What is inside the platform

• AI Algo Builder - chat in English or Hindi; the AI writes the rules, asks about missing details, and never silently drops a part of your message - anything it could not use is listed back to you. Two assistants are available (Orion and Lumora) with Low / High thinking effort.
• Markets and instruments - indices (Nifty, Sensex, Bank Nifty) as charts to watch; trades in index options, futures, stocks and MCX futures.
• Entry rules - candle colour and patterns, moving averages (EMA/SMA cross, touch, close above/below), VWAP, RSI and other indicators, breakouts of previous highs/lows, and exact clock-time entries such as 9:15 or 9:20.
• Exit and risk rules - stop loss and target in points, percent, option premium or a multiple of the candle size; trailing stop loss (gap or step); move stop loss to cost; exit on the opposite signal; last entry time; daily profit and loss limits; VIX, weekday and expiry-day filters; money or lots per trade.
• Backtest - run the algo on past market data to see how the rules would have behaved.
• Paper trading - practise with paper money under live market conditions - free.
• Live trading - orders go to your own broker account. Exits are never blocked.
• Positions and safety controls - live P&L, one-tap Exit All Positions, and a P&L exit that closes everything at a total profit or loss you set.
• Signals, trade history and market summary - every signal and trade with time and price, a market summary and a news desk.
• Explore - browse algos shared by other users and copy them; the seller's risk settings stay locked on your copy.
• Refer & earn - invite friends with your link and earn a share of what CandleAlgo earns from them.
• Support - help by e-mail and WhatsApp from inside the app.

Example strategies you can type

• Option buying - "Nifty 5 min, green candle closes above 20 EMA after touching it, buy ATM call, nearest expiry, SL 10% of premium, target 20%."
• Time-based - "At 9:20 buy Sensex ATM call and put both, nearest expiry, 10k each, SL 30% premium."
• Indicator - "Bank Nifty 15 min, RSI crosses above 60, buy ATM call, trail SL by 20 points."
• Stocks - "Reliance 5 min, buy when price breaks previous day high, SL 1%, target 2%."
• Hindi / Hinglish - "Nifty 5 min red candle pe ATM put kharido, SL 20 point, 1 lot, 2000 profit ho jaye to band karo."

Safety and control

• Starts off - a new algo is saved switched off and on paper money; nothing trades until you choose.
• You confirm live trading - going live needs your confirmation; changing the money or risk settings asks again.
• Your account, your money - orders are placed in your own broker account; CandleAlgo does not hold your funds.
• Stop any time - stop an algo, exit one position or exit all positions from the Positions page.
• Private - other users can never see your algos, balances or conversations.

Pricing

Free plan: ₹0 - 10 saved algos, running on paper money, with weekly AI credits. Pro plan: ₹1,999 a month + 18% GST (or yearly at 20% off) - 10 saved algos, 3 running at once, 200 AI credits and 100 live entry credits every week, and live trading on your own broker account.

Who is it for?

Traders in India who have a strategy in mind but do not write code: option buyers on Nifty, Sensex and Bank Nifty, intraday stock traders, and anyone who wants to test an idea on paper before using real money.
